In order to expand the already vast and interesting possibilities of the system Bticino MyHome, I'm writing a function block in Codesys, to allow dialogue between myhome and Wago PLC.
The first application of this gateway is designed to extend the system myhome through the interrogation of some interfaces for Modbus RS485, and to drive the RGB LEDs through the DMX512 standard.
The purpose of this project is to obtain a two-way communication, with the option to modify autonomously the addresses.
Communication with the MyHome system will be using the BTicino F454 web server, connected to the Wago PLC through an ethernet cable.
The communication protocol is BTicino Open Web Net.
The software, written in Codesys, consists of a function block, which contains all the code necessary to parse and automated response.
In fact, due to the spread of the development system Codesys, this function block, once completed, can be used for a wide range of PLCs of different brands.
The data exchanged via the function block will be available for further processing by the Wago PLC.
